2 Specs in 2 raids - How should I spend frost?

So I have a question for anyone that has played different specs in different raids.

A little background - as you probably know I spec elemental for our 25 mans but for the last couple of weeks I've been trying my hand at resto in a 10 man raid. Currently both groups are tackling ICC. I enjoy the change and hopefully they are crazy enough to keep me around.

My question is for people who have done similar things before. What have you found to be the best way to spend your badges as far as buying different sets of tier gear or other purchasable upgrades?

Should I try to keep a tally of the badges I earn with each raid and spend each raid's badges according to spec or just try to get one spec geared as quickly as I can taking advantage of the extra badges? Should I try to figure out the biggest upgrades and purchase for whatever spec will get the most improvement from the next piece?

I know its only loot, but I'd like to try and make sure I'm doing the best I can to help each raid and not be handicapping the other.

In my case badges (Frost) will always go to my main spec in 25 man. Any lesser badges goes for off spec. There is no getting around it, one spec is going to be handicapped. You can always wait for loot in 25 man that nobody needs and roll on it for an off spec.

I'm the same... of course, I'm resto in 25 and 10 at the moment... but for a while I was dps in a 10 man... but all my spending was prioritized to my resto gear since the healing is more intensive in 25 mans, but thankfully there's a lot of loot in common between resto and elemental, so my elemental did get some incidental boosts.

You should end up with some incidental cross-loot as well as regular loot drops from either group.

The only real difference between resto and elemental gear is mana, which you can supplement with your mana tide and potions. So definitely spend your frost on elemental first since you consider it your main spec.
